UPSMart Website now online

After some consolidation of websites the UPSMart webstore has undergone a major revamp and is now back online. UPSMart is the online trading division of Power Inspired Ltd and is dedicated to bring you high value power protection solutions.

Starting with the VIX Series UPS which is an ideal power protection solution with AVR, battery backup, USB comms and all for under £50 delivered for the 600VA version and under £80 for the 1200VA with double the power and double the battery.

For online double conversion we’ve got high end products as well as the superb value E200 series from Dale Power Solutions. Added to the mix are sine wave line interactive systems and an excellent range of inverters from Tripp Lite, which offer high charging capacity, mostly 12Vdc input and a pure sine-wave output.

A complete range of electrical accessories help get your UPS connected, as well as replacement batteries and cables.

If you were a existing Power Inspired customer, all your details have been transferred to the new webstore so you can log on with the same email and password and still view your previous orders.

We welcome any comments or suggestions, and of course please let us know if you find any bugs.

Over the course of the next few days the UPSMart UPS Online Webstore will be going live. The new store has the following benefits:

  • Better User Interface
  • Improved Shipping Calculation Algorithm
  • Improved Product Description and image rendering
When the store goes live, the Power Inspired website will be taken down for modification. All customer log in information and order history will be transferred to the UPSMart website so you will be able to log in to the new store the same as you would with the Power Inspired website.
Power Inspired are about great value power protection products and novel products for niche applications. The Power Inspired website is to change to reflect what we are about as well as showcase some of our other capabilities. At the same time we recognise that there are great value products and niche products from manufacturers where we don’t compete and these will be offered for sale, along with product accessories on the UPSMart website.
We’ve also got a number of other sites that are work in progress offering detailed product information for some of our specific applications. Further details to follow.

The ever increasingly popular VIX2120 Uninterruptible Power Supply is now back in stock, available on eBay or from the Power Inspired webstore.

Under £80 inc VAT delivered!

Since consolidation of the webstores we’ve had to take the Power Inspired site offline to do some updating. It’s back online now, so thank you for your patience during this upgrade.

We’ve changed the theme to remove needless clutter and make it easier to navigate, especially for when viewing on mobile devices. We’ve also changed the default pricing to include VAT, as this was something many people had requested.

In difference to the former UPSMart store, we no longer have prices including shipping. This is due to the fact that it is unfair for those making multi-item purchases. There is no such thing as “free shipping”. The only way shipping is free is if one of our warehouse team happened to live next door and dropped your goods off on the way home. Shipping can only be included in the price so if you purchase one item that we can put with another item in the same package then you won’t pay any more than you need to.

We’re still making a few changes to do with multi browser support (why oh why do all the browsers have to render pages differently) so if something looks odd in your browser you can rest assured we’re working on a fix, however feel free to let us know any comments or suggestions you have.

We’ve got a few of the OPTI ES series product that we’re clearing at great prices. A number of ES550C are available at the amazing price of £70.50 – and that includes VAT AND UK delivery.

Next up are the ES1000C-RM and ES1500C-RM, both rack mount systems for only £141 and £175, again including VAT and UK delivery.

The OPTI-UPS ES series is a line interactive Uninterruptible Power Supply provding great mid-range power protection for computer systems.

Due to the huge demand of the VIX2060 Uninterruptible Power Supply we’ve had more manufacturered and are now in stock. At only £49 – including VAT and delivery – this UPS System is a bargain.

The VIX provides everything you need for a simple low cost power protection solution including surge supression, Voltage Regulation and of course battery backup. The unit is simple to operate and comes complete with PC shutdown software that is connected via USB, so you can rest assured you will not lose any data if you have a power cut whilst you are away from your desk (or busy scrambling around in the dark for a torch).

VIX2060 Uninterruptible Power Supply - Bargain.

If you’re a retailer, then Christmas is probably your busiest time of the year. The tills are (hopefully) in constant use taking cash, processing credit cards and printing receipts. What would happen if you were to experience a power glitch during your peak trading times and you lost your tills, lost the data, and customers decided to go elsewhere whilst they were waiting for you to reboot (hopefully) and get the systems up and running again. I bet the cost of such problems could run into far more than the £45 or so it costs to buy an ideal system to protect against such problems.

We’ve got the IP-PRO-Evolution at under £45 delivered. This will provide you with quality surge protection as well as battery backup allowing you to continue to trade even if the lights go off for a while.

If you’re short of space then what about the OPTI VS575C for £50 delivered? This is an ideal system for a EPOS terminal.

When money’s tight it’s easy to skimp on the power protection and not spend the money, but at these low prices it’s crazy not to.

As our product range has expanded we’ve come to realise that we may be confusing everybody with the wide choice of different systems we have available. What we’ve done is to streamline the UPSMart shop and also provide a new outlet at www.powerinspired.com, where all products will be available. UPSMart is now dedicated to home and small office users. Power Inspired will deal with the professional users. We hope this will help streamline our online product offering.

The following product categories are no longer available at UPSMart but are at Power Inspired:

In addition some products have been removed in their entirety. Links are provided for legacy reasons. Any link into the UPSMart website will provide the appropriate link for the Power Inspired website if the product has been removed from UPSMart.

We’ve added a new tool to the shop to help in identifying which Uninterruptible Power Supply meets your requirements. Knowing what power consumption you require can be a big unknown for may people, so we have added a comprehensive list of over 2000 computers, printers, monitors, networking equipment, storage devices and telecom systems to our Select Uninterruptible Power Supply By Device tool.

Simply select what load you have and add your own items and the tool will calculate your total power requirement. Hit “Select My UPS System” and the tool integrates with the existing bo-selector tool to enable you to make further choices such as run time, technology, form factor, manufacturer to give you the Uninterruptible Power Supply that meets your requirements.

It’s a truly simplified process that makes selecting your ideal system easy. Give it a go here: Select Uninterruptible Power Supply By Device

We’ve noticed that another online power protection site has sprung up in recent days. One quick view of their site shows that the “About Us” is incomplete. What’s even more concerning is that they charge VAT but make no mention of their VAT registration number! Which begs the question, how can you be sure who you’re buying from and are they reputable?

Well, this question doesn’t concern only those involved with power protection of course, but the first things to check for include the following:

  1. Does the site employ SSL? If you are asked to enter any information, such as when registering for an account, your details should be encrypted using SSL. Your browser should show a padlock symbol or similar when in an SSL environment.
  2. Is the site obvious about who they are? Are you dealing with Joe Bloggs who runs the business out of his garage, or are you dealing with a reputable company. For example, UPSMart is the trading website of Power Inspired Ltd. If you go to the About Us section of the web site you note that we make this as clear as day. Power Inspired are a limited liability company, registered at Companies House, which you can check here.
  3. Any business of substance will be registered for VAT. You can check the VAT number is valid at the Europa Web Site.

Well, these are a few of the obvious things you can check for. I’ve come across web sites that copy exact the layout and feel of the manufacturers web site. You would think you were buying direct from the manufacturer. I’ll have to talk our legal people about this as I’m no legal boffin, but to me this appears misleading at best and even fraudulent. Other sites are clearly created by somebody who has downloaded some web templates, put in some pictures (usually the same one across the range) and is now a bona fide power protection specialist!

You wont find such practices at Power Inspired or on any of our web sites. We are open and clear about who we are and who we represent. There’s honesty and integrity in our organisation and you can rest assured that you can buy with complete confidence from UPSMart.
